My Project 1 Topic is "five sentence paragraphs."
For as long as I can remember, I was taught that a paragraph should have five sentences: a topic sentence, three supporting points, and a conclusion sentence that transitions into my next five sentence paragraph.
For as long as I can remember, I have never been able to make this "outline" work for my writing. What if my topic for that paragraph needs a little more than just one introductory sentence, what if I have more than three supporting points, or what if my supporting points have even more details? To me, five sentence paragraphs are just a "rule" that needs to be broken.
