Project 1 Topic Idea Revised

I'm challenging the construct that writing is a linear process and is the same for everyone. 

Ive read articles that argue specifically for the linear process and those that argue for the recursive process. I also have read articles about undergraduates transitioning into academic writing. In this class I've learned to challenge the linear process and I'm curious as to why we have always been taught that way in the first place, or if there ever is a time when it is better to write that way. I think that my argument against universal linear writing processes will be effective.
